SCHOOL DIRECT TEACHER TRAINING AT THE EMMBROOK SCHOOL

The Emmbrook School will be offering School Direct PGCE training placements. School Direct is available for those who are recent graduates and for those wishing to enter the profession following employment.
The Emmbrook School will continue to work in close partnership with Reading University to provide Initial Teacher Training and School Direct for most subjects and with Oxford University for Religious Education.

Professional Training at the Emmbrook School.
The Emmbrook School remains fully committed to teacher training and was one of the first and is the largest partnership school offering PGCE training with Reading University. Each year the school employs a number of those they have trained on their PGCE course.
In addition to a Training Director for the school, the school has fully accredited Initial Teacher Training mentors across a wide range of curriculum subject areas. The school ensures that each mentor has protected time to fulfil training responsibilities.
The school also offers a full in house professional studies programme to complement the University course. Leading professionals and representatives from support agencies contribute to a lively and enriching training experience. Trainees also have full access to the school staff professional development programme and our own professional study library.
