CURRICULUM LEADER for HISTORY
Required September 2017

At The Emmbrook School History is popular subject with over 60% of each year group electing to take the subject at GCSE and circa 15 students at KS5 year on year. This is due to a hard working group of teachers who ensure students both enjoy and succeed at History right from Year 7. Whilst the department are proud of their achievements they now need to move towards ‘outstanding’ by ensuring that the progress of all students in all year groups is the very best.  

If you have a proven track record of securing excellent results for students, coupled with the correct blend of leadership, management and interpersonal skills to be able to motivate students and staff within the department, we look forward to hearing from you.

The Emmbrook is a flourishing school full of energy and high expectations. It was judged ‘Good’ in a very recent Ofsted inspection. Our exam results in the last three years have steadily improved.

Full time TEACHER of DESIGN TECHNOLOGY MPS 

Required September 2017

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative full time teacher to join our thriving, enthusiastic and committed Design and Technology Department. This is an excellent opportunity for either an NQT or an experienced teacher.

We are looking for a suitably experienced highly motivated teacher to raise aspirations and play a key role in teaching KS3 students in Design and Technology. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strategies to maintain the quality of learning and teaching throughout the age and ability range. Applicants should be able to readily engage with pupils enthuse and inspire and display excellent interpersonal skills, and believe every child matters. The successful candidate will be required to teach at Product Design and Engineering at KS4, there may be opportunities to teach KS5 for a suitable candidate.
