Welcome to the pupils' section of the Emmbrook School Website. Here you will find everything you need to know about being a student at the Emmbrook; including Inter-College Competitions, extra-curricular activities and current courses available to you.
If you think there’s something missing here, why not tell us? We want to make this section as informative as possible.
The Emmbrook School Student Council is made up of representatives from different years and colleges who either apply, or are invited to join the council.
The council meets every other Wednesday from 10:30am - 11:00am in the Sixth Form Library.
Throughout the school year the council has tackled a number of issues including:
- The distributions and collation of The Student Homework Questionnaire
- The separation of DARE behaviour and homework points.
- The management and spending of a £500 donation from the PTA.
We will appoint a number of Prefects, each college based to organise and run major inter-college competitive events. These could be sporting or musical, mathematical or scientific, or any combination of themes. In all cases, you will be led by senior prefects who have been appointed. The Head Boy (Calum) and Head Girl (Rachel) are ultimately in-charge of the day-to-day running of prefects. Mr Bhambra is the teacher in-charge of prefects.
Prefects will be competitive, driven and good organisers. You must be reliable as others will be depending on you to deliver!
Once appointed, you will work with your Senior Prefect, who will become your line manager. Expectations are high; the way you wear your uniform and the way you behave must be first class. Prefects set very high standards for themselves and expect others to follow.
