Oxford University Visit

Our year 13 chemists had the opportunity to visit the new £30 million chemistry teaching labs at Oxford University.

Year 13 Chemists went to Oxford University recently for a morning in the new £30 Million Chemistry Teaching Labs. The students displayed good practical skills to separate and identify an organic chemical mixture and they got the chance to use very expensive desk-top analytical instruments. The students really enjoyed the morning, learning much about how the university works generally and, in particular, how Scientists work and cooperate at a higher level.

More visits are planned and Dr Eagle hopes to take some Y10 and Y11 students later in the year.
