Summer 2025 Exam Results & Post-Results Services

πŸ“… Results Days

•          A-Level Results Day: Thursday 14th August 2025

•          GCSE Results Day: Thursday 21st August 2025

On both days:

•          Results will be emailed to students from 8:00am via their school email accounts.

•          Students are invited to collect a printed copy of their results from 9:00am at the school. This is an opportunity to speak with staff, celebrate achievements, and receive guidance if needed.

πŸ› οΈ Post-Results Services

In line with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) guidelines, a range of post-results services will be available for students who have concerns about their results or wish to request further checks. These services include:

πŸ” Review of Marking

A review of the original marking by a senior examiner to ensure the mark scheme was applied correctly. This can result in marks going up, down, or staying the same.

⚠️ Priority Review of Marking (A-Level only)

This is available only for A-Level students where a university place is dependent on the outcome. These requests are processed more quickly and must be submitted as soon as possible after results are received.

🧾 Clerical Re-check

A check to ensure all parts of the script were marked, marks were correctly recorded, and the total was calculated accurately.

πŸ“„ Access to Scripts

Students can request a copy of their marked exam paper to help inform decisions about whether to request a review of marking.

πŸ“ How to Apply for Post-Results Services

•          Application forms will be available on results day at school and can also be downloaded from the Exams section of the school website.

•          All requests must be submitted using the official forms and must include the student’s signature.

•          Payments must be made via Scopay. A full list of fees and deadlines will be provided with the forms     and is shown below

•          The Exams Officer will be available on-site on both results days to:

o          Provide advice and guidance on the most appropriate service

o          Process completed requests

o          Liaise with exam boards on behalf of students

Please note: Post-results services are charged per paper, not per subject. For example, a double-award science qualification may involve multiple papers, each with its own fee. This should be carefully considered when making decisions about which services to request.

πŸ“Œ Important Notes

•          Students are strongly encouraged to speak with their subject teachers or the Exams Officer before submitting a request, especially if they are unsure which service to apply for.

•          Deadlines for post-results services are strict and vary depending on the service. These will be clearly listed on the application forms and website.

•          Outcomes of reviews can result in grades going up, down, or remaining unchanged.

Exam certificates must be collected in person and signed for at the main reception during school hours. If you cannot collect your certificates, then a named person can collect them on your behalf. Please email [email protected] with this information.

It is very important to collect your certificates and look after them carefully, as you will need them in the future and replacements are very expensive and difficult to obtain. The Emmbrook School is not obliged to retain certificates after a year and unclaimed certificates may be destroyed or returned to the exam board.
