We Celebrate our Students’ Achievements - A-Level 2025

We are delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional A-Level results at The Emmbrook School. Following last year’s record-breaking performance, that placed our Sixth Form 8th nationally in 2024 (of 3665 state-funded schools and colleges) our students have once again demonstrated remarkable achievement by matching the record outcomes achieved last year.
This year’s results continue to reflect the dedication and hard work of our students, with strong outcomes across the board. This included one in ten grades achieved at A*, around a third A*-A and well over half of all grades at A*-B. The average grade achieved by all students was a B.
Subjects including Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, Art, Criminology, and Psychology saw particularly impressive results, highlighting the breadth of academic excellence across our Sixth Form. There was also strong performance in the Sciences.

Nick McSweeney, Headteacher, shared, “We are incredibly proud of our students. Their commitment, resilience, and ambition have once again delivered outstanding results. To maintain such high standards after last year’s historic success is a testament to the strength of our school community. These achievements reflect the tireless efforts of our students, the expertise of our teachers, and the unwavering support of parents and carers.”
David Constable, Head of Sixth Form, commented, “The class of 2025 has continued the legacy of excellence at Emmbrook. Their results are a reflection of two years of hard work, focus, and determination. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey, and I am confident they will go on to achieve great things in the future.”
Pete Whitehouse, Assistant Headteacher responsible for Post-16, added, “I’m thrilled to see our students once again achieving such strong results. The consistency in high performance across subjects and grade boundaries shows the depth of talent and effort within this cohort. Congratulations to all of them for their well-earned success.”
Our students are now progressing to a wide range of exciting destinations. Many will be continuing their studies at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, while others are embarking on high-quality apprenticeships and vocational pathways. We celebrate every individual achievement and look forward to seeing our students thrive in the next chapter of their lives.
