Welcome to Emmbrook Sixth Form – September 2026
Applications for September 2026 are now closed, and we are no longer accepting new applications for entry this September. We would like to thank all students who applied and have accepted a place at Emmbrook Sixth Form.
A particular thank you goes to those who attended our Sixth Form Induction programme in June. It was fantastic to meet so many ambitious young people who will be joining our community, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back in September as you begin the next stage of your educational journey.
As part of your preparation for Sixth Form, please ensure that you complete the Gateway Work set by your chosen subjects. This work forms an important part of the enrolment process and has been carefully designed to bridge the gap between GCSE and A Level study. Research consistently shows that keeping your brain active over the summer helps retain knowledge, develop academic confidence and establish the habits needed for success at post-16 level. Completing your Gateway Work will ensure that you arrive in September ready to learn, fully engaged with your subjects and able to hit the ground running from day one.

Results Day and Enrolment
Current Emmbrook students who achieve the required entry grades for their chosen courses will be automatically enrolled into Sixth Form following the publication of GCSE results.
Students joining us from other schools should upload evidence of their GCSE results through Applicaa as soon as possible on Results Day. Once your results have been verified and entry requirements have been met, we will confirm your enrolment and place in the Sixth Form.
First Day of Sixth Form The first day for all Year 12 students is Thursday, 3 September 2026. Further information regarding arrival times, tutor groups and activities will be shared before the start of the term. We are excited to welcome a new cohort of talented, hardworking and ambitious students to Emmbrook Sixth Form. Over the coming two years, you will be challenged to think independently, develop your academic strengths and prepare for your next steps, whether that is university, an apprenticeship or the world of work. We look forward to supporting you every step of the way and celebrating your successes as part of our thriving Sixth Form community.
Welcome from our Head of Sixth Form
I’m incredibly proud to lead a vibrant, high-achieving community at the heart of our school. Our students achieve exceptional results that place us among the top 10% of sixth forms nationally—a reflection of their hard work and the expert teaching and pastoral care we provide. At Emmbrook, we believe that happy, healthy students are the most successful learners, and we work hard to ensure every individual feels supported both academically and personally. Whether students are aiming for university, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the workplace, we offer tailored guidance to help them take the next step with confidence. From bespoke support for Oxbridge and Russell Group applicants to leadership opportunities, cultural trips, and community engagement, our Sixth Form offers a rich and rewarding experience. I look forward to welcoming you and helping you thrive in every aspect of your post-16 journey.
Best wishes,
Mr David Constable
Head of Sixth Form
Welcome from our Head Students
As Head Students, we view our community as the forefront of our motivations – highlighting the importance built on friendship, support, and personal growth within the school. We ultimately decided to take on our roles as Head Students to give back to our community, which has always supported us, celebrating every achievement, no matter how big or small our individual ambitions are. We understand the challenges of transition, whether from GCSEs to A-levels or joining a new school, and we are always striving towards creating a more supportive environment for everyone. Our journeys within the school have inevitably instilled the FAIR values within us, which we carry on a day-to-day basis; highlighting the importance of celebrating diversity within our school, through events like Diversity Day and creating inclusive activities for everyone to attend. Above all, we believe in the power of community, and we’re here to ensure every student feels valued, supported, and inspired.
Best Wishes,
Freya and Medha
