Diversity and Inclusion

At our school, we are proud to celebrate and embrace the diversity of our community. We believe that everyone should feel valued, respected, included and have a sense of belonging, regardless of their background, culture, identity or faith.

Throughout the year, we provide a range of opportunities for our students to learn about, appreciate and celebrate different cultures, beliefs and traditions. We proudly celebrate Black History Month every year, recognising the achievements, contributions and history of Black individuals and communities. We also recognise Pride Month, celebrating LGBTQ+ communities, promoting equality and encouraging acceptance, respect and understanding for everyone.

We have hosted cultural evenings, bringing our community together to share traditions, food, music and experiences from around the world.

We recognise and celebrate the importance of different faiths within our school community. During Ramadan, we have held special Iftar gatherings, providing opportunities for students and staff to come together and learn more about this important time. We also offer Explore Faith, a weekly Christian group, and provide a dedicated multi-faith room where students can reflect, pray or practise their faith in a welcoming and respectful environment.

These are just some of the ways we actively promote diversity, equality and inclusion across our school. We are committed to creating an environment where differences are celebrated, voices are heard and everyone feels that they belong. We believe that learning about one another makes our school community stronger, kinder and more connected
